A space for curious tasters

Food and flavour are becoming increasing abstracted. We “experience” more food through images and video than we could eat in our lives. Our food gets to our plates through a system that draws us farther and farther from the animals and soil that it comes from.

At the same time, our kitchens, restaurants and grocery stores are experiencing a cultural diversification unparalleled since the spice trade. Humanity’s quest for flavour has defined earth’s history, built our cities, destroyed nations, and changed our very climate.

The Museum of Flavour is a space for curious people to explore the culture, politics, and ecology of flavour through tasting, experimentation, and conversation.
